I really enjoyed this issue! The bioethics discussion in particular was eye-opening. The contrast between the gene-editing case and Baby KJ especially interests me. Lots of great topics here for anyone working at the intersection of research, biotech, and patient impact.

Thank you for commenting! I agree that the stark contrast between the two stories is meaningful. We may initially think it’s just because one “worked” and the other didn’t, but the lack of accountability is what sits the worst with this story. Of course we always want success but the lack of clear transparency hurts the most here.

Amazing news about the new vaccine (the second point), and what a coincidence - I have been working at Touchlight on dbDNA and other cool technologies for last decade!

No way, that’s so cool! Did you know it was being used for NEOVACC then? Or are you involved at all with how it integrates with the needle-free injection system? I was fascinated!
